Marine Shrimp and Marine Finfish Culture Course

2008 Texas Sea Grant College Program
The 26th Annual Texas Shrimp Farming Short Course and Marine Finfish Culture Course will be conducted September 28-October 4, 2011, by the Texas A&M University System (Texas Sea Grant College Program, Texas AgriLife Extension and Texas AgriLife Research) and The University of Texas at Austin (UT Marine Science Institute and its Fisheries and Mariculture Laboratory) in cooperation with Texas marine shrimp and marine finfish farms, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). The course will be conducted at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute (UTMSI) and its Fisheries and Mariculture Laboratory (FAML), both in Port Aransas, and at shrimp and fish farms on the Texas coast.

In exit evaluations, past participants have rated the course and its instructors as excellent. Participants receive 4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from Texas A&M University for completing the course.
