Second Annual International Workshop on Governance of the Gulf of Mexico
- Distinguished lecturers from Cuba, Mexico, and the United States - Cultural and environmental field trips - Travel scholarships - Interdisciplinary, international approach Scholarships will be awarded to Masters and Ph.D. students in any field of study who are interested in coastal and marine resource management, watershed management, coastal zone management, coastal and marine spatial planning, estuarine ecology, public policy, international relations, or environmental governance. Objective: To provide students with an integrated understanding of national and international resource management and conservation policies in the Gulf of Mexico region through an educational and cultural experience. Participants from each country will contribute their perspectives on the social, economic, political, and environmental issues and cooperate to develop better management strategies for sustainable management of Gulf of Mexico resources.
