This meeting is the continuation of the informal meetings held at the Institute during the early 1990’s. The meeting will focus on work being done in the bays, estuaries and near-shore Gulf of Mexico. It provides an opportunity for Texas scientists working in the coastal zone to share information, results and insights into our diverse coastal environment. Both natural and social science research is welcome. If there are too many presentations to handle on one day, the meeting may spill over into Friday but has a firm end time of noon, April 22, 2005. There will be both oral (15-20 minutes) and poster sessions. There will be an award for best student presentations.
