Pursuant to those mission needs, Minerals Management Service (MMS) is now convening an open workshop to plan field and modeling studies of the deepwater Physical Oceanography of the Gulf of Mexico basin. Recent observational and modeling results will be reviewed. Future needs and opportunities for coordination and collaboration between USA and Mexican field and modeling studies will be examined. Accordingly, USA and Mexican scientists are welcome to participate.
